Farewell and goodbye group cards

A group farewell card that says what the goodbye lunch can't

Someone is leaving, and a card signed in a hurry on their last afternoon never captures what they meant to the people around them. A group farewell card gives everyone time to write properly, add the photo from the offsite and the inside joke only the team understands.

Share one link and collect goodbye messages from the whole department, including the people who work remotely and the colleagues who left before them. Send it on their last day as a cinematic reveal, or hand them the link to open quietly at home.

Why send a group farewell card here

  • Room for the long version

There is no space limit, so the mentor who hired them and the intern they trained can both say exactly what they want to say.

  • Everyone signs from one link

Share a single link by text, email or Slack. Each person adds their own message, photo, video or doodle from their phone. No account needed to sign.

  • A reveal, not a PDF

When you send it, they open an envelope, hear the song you picked and watch every message arrive one by one, like a card being read aloud.

  • It stays with them

The card lives on in their fan club, a page that collects every message anyone ever sends them. Next year's card lands in the same place.

  • Printed and mailed, if you like

Turn the finished card into a real printed card with a handwritten note and have it mailed to their door.

Farewell group card questions

What should a farewell card from the team say?

Good farewell messages name something specific: a project you shipped together, a habit you will miss, a piece of advice they gave you. Add a wish for what comes next. In a group card each person only needs two or three honest sentences, and together they add up to something memorable.

Can remote colleagues sign a farewell card?

Yes. The signing link works from any phone or laptop anywhere, so a distributed team can sign the same card without anyone printing, scanning or mailing anything.

Can we keep adding messages after we send it?

Yes. The card lives in the recipient's fan club after it is opened, and the fan club keeps collecting messages, so people who missed the deadline can still add theirs.

How does a group card work on Because of You?

You pick a card, name the person it is for and get a link. Share the link with everyone who should sign. Each person adds a message, and can attach a photo, a short video or a drawing. When you are ready, you send the card and the recipient opens an animated reveal with every message inside.

Is it free to make a group card?

Yes. Creating a card, inviting people to sign it and sending the finished reveal are free. Optional extras, such as a printed card mailed to the recipient, are paid for only if you choose them.

Do the people signing need an account?

No. Anyone with the link can add their message from a phone or laptop in about a minute. Only the organizer needs an account, and that can be created at the end, right before sending.

Can people add photos and videos?

Yes. Every message can include photos, a short video clip or a freehand drawing. They play inside the card reveal and the recipient can open each one full screen.
