Sympathy and condolence group cards

A group sympathy card from everyone who is thinking of them

When someone is grieving, the hardest part for the people around them is not knowing what to say. A group sympathy card lets each person say a little, and together it becomes a great deal: a memory of the person they lost, a line that made them feel less alone, a photo they had never seen.

Choose a quiet design below, share the link with the people who want to reach out, and send the card when it feels right. Music is optional, so the card can open in silence or to a piece they loved, and the recipient can open it privately, at their own pace, and come back to it as often as they like.

Why send a group sympathy card here

  • Gentle by design

The reveal is slow and unhurried. Messages appear one at a time with nothing flashy, so a condolence card feels like sitting with friends rather than opening an email.

  • Everyone signs from one link

Share a single link by text, email or Slack. Each person adds their own message, photo, video or doodle from their phone. No account needed to sign.

  • A reveal, not a PDF

When you send it, they open an envelope, hear the song you picked and watch every message arrive one by one, like a card being read aloud.

  • It stays with them

The card lives on in their fan club, a page that collects every message anyone ever sends them. Next year's card lands in the same place.

  • Printed and mailed, if you like

Turn the finished card into a real printed card with a handwritten note and have it mailed to their door.

Sympathy group card questions

What do you write in a group sympathy card?

Keep it simple and true. Share a specific memory of the person who died, say what they meant to you, and let the grieving person know you are there for them in the weeks ahead. Avoid explanations or silver linings. A few sincere sentences from each person is exactly right.

Is a digital sympathy card appropriate?

Yes, especially when people are far apart. An electronic sympathy card can be opened privately and returned to later, and you can also order a printed version mailed to them so there is something to hold.

Can we send flowers or a gift with it?

The card itself is a message of support rather than a gift, but the organizer can include a note about a donation, a meal train or a gift the group arranged separately.

How does a group card work on Because of You?

You pick a card, name the person it is for and get a link. Share the link with everyone who should sign. Each person adds a message, and can attach a photo, a short video or a drawing. When you are ready, you send the card and the recipient opens an animated reveal with every message inside.

Is it free to make a group card?

Yes. Creating a card, inviting people to sign it and sending the finished reveal are free. Optional extras, such as a printed card mailed to the recipient, are paid for only if you choose them.

Do the people signing need an account?

No. Anyone with the link can add their message from a phone or laptop in about a minute. Only the organizer needs an account, and that can be created at the end, right before sending.

Can people add photos and videos?

Yes. Every message can include photos, a short video clip or a freehand drawing. They play inside the card reveal and the recipient can open each one full screen.
