Retirement group cards

A group retirement card worthy of a whole career

Thirty years of work deserves more than a cake in the break room. A group retirement card gathers messages from the people someone worked with across their whole career, including former colleagues who have long since moved on and would never fit in the room.

Share the link widely, collect stories and photos from every era, and send the card at the retirement party or on their last morning. It stays in their fan club afterwards, so they can revisit it whenever the quiet of retirement gets a little too quiet.

Why send a group retirement card here

  • Photos from every decade

Signers can attach old team photos and scanned snapshots, turning the card into a timeline of the career it celebrates.

  • Everyone signs from one link

Share a single link by text, email or Slack. Each person adds their own message, photo, video or doodle from their phone. No account needed to sign.

  • A reveal, not a PDF

When you send it, they open an envelope, hear the song you picked and watch every message arrive one by one, like a card being read aloud.

  • It stays with them

The card lives on in their fan club, a page that collects every message anyone ever sends them. Next year's card lands in the same place.

  • Printed and mailed, if you like

Turn the finished card into a real printed card with a handwritten note and have it mailed to their door.

Retirement group card questions

What should you write in a retirement card from coworkers?

Thank them for something specific they taught you or did for you, share a favorite memory of working together, and wish them well for what comes next. Humor is welcome when it is kind. For a teacher's retirement, former students' messages are often the ones they treasure most.

Can former colleagues who left the company sign?

Yes. The link works for anyone, with no company login required, so retired peers and people who moved to other employers can all add a message.

How does a group card work on Because of You?

You pick a card, name the person it is for and get a link. Share the link with everyone who should sign. Each person adds a message, and can attach a photo, a short video or a drawing. When you are ready, you send the card and the recipient opens an animated reveal with every message inside.

Is it free to make a group card?

Yes. Creating a card, inviting people to sign it and sending the finished reveal are free. Optional extras, such as a printed card mailed to the recipient, are paid for only if you choose them.

Do the people signing need an account?

No. Anyone with the link can add their message from a phone or laptop in about a minute. Only the organizer needs an account, and that can be created at the end, right before sending.

Can people add photos and videos?

Yes. Every message can include photos, a short video clip or a freehand drawing. They play inside the card reveal and the recipient can open each one full screen.
