New baby group cards

A group new baby card for the whole village

A new baby brings a flood of texts that scroll away within a day. A group new baby card keeps every congratulation, every piece of hard-won parenting advice and every photo of the grandparents' reaction in one place the family can return to.

Share the link with both sides of the family and the whole team at work, then send the card when the parents have had their first full night of sleep. Years from now it becomes a letter to the child from everyone who was waiting for them.

Why send a group new baby card here

  • Advice the parents will actually keep

Ask signers to add one piece of advice or one wish for the baby. The result is a keepsake the child can read when they are older.

  • Everyone signs from one link

Share a single link by text, email or Slack. Each person adds their own message, photo, video or doodle from their phone. No account needed to sign.

  • A reveal, not a PDF

When you send it, they open an envelope, hear the song you picked and watch every message arrive one by one, like a card being read aloud.

  • It stays with them

The card lives on in their fan club, a page that collects every message anyone ever sends them. Next year's card lands in the same place.

  • Printed and mailed, if you like

Turn the finished card into a real printed card with a handwritten note and have it mailed to their door.

New Baby group card questions

What should you write in a new baby card?

Congratulate the parents, say something kind about the baby's name or arrival, and add one wish for the child or one honest piece of advice for the parents. Short, warm and personal is better than long and formal.

Can we send it before the baby arrives?

Yes. Many groups collect messages during the pregnancy or around a baby shower and send the card once the baby is born and named.

How does a group card work on Because of You?

You pick a card, name the person it is for and get a link. Share the link with everyone who should sign. Each person adds a message, and can attach a photo, a short video or a drawing. When you are ready, you send the card and the recipient opens an animated reveal with every message inside.

Is it free to make a group card?

Yes. Creating a card, inviting people to sign it and sending the finished reveal are free. Optional extras, such as a printed card mailed to the recipient, are paid for only if you choose them.

Do the people signing need an account?

No. Anyone with the link can add their message from a phone or laptop in about a minute. Only the organizer needs an account, and that can be created at the end, right before sending.

Can people add photos and videos?

Yes. Every message can include photos, a short video clip or a freehand drawing. They play inside the card reveal and the recipient can open each one full screen.
