Welcome aboard group cards

A group welcome card so day one feels like day one hundred

The first week anywhere new is a blur of names. A group welcome card hands a new hire, a new teammate or a new neighbor a friendly face for every name: a short hello, a photo and the one tip each person wishes they had known at the start.

Set it up before their start date, share the link with the team, and send it the morning they arrive. It is the warmest onboarding step a company can take, and it takes the team about ten minutes.

Why send a group welcome card here

  • Faces to go with the names

Encourage signers to attach a photo of themselves. The new arrival gets a who's-who they can refer back to all week.

  • Everyone signs from one link

Share a single link by text, email or Slack. Each person adds their own message, photo, video or doodle from their phone. No account needed to sign.

  • A reveal, not a PDF

When you send it, they open an envelope, hear the song you picked and watch every message arrive one by one, like a card being read aloud.

  • It stays with them

The card lives on in their fan club, a page that collects every message anyone ever sends them. Next year's card lands in the same place.

  • Printed and mailed, if you like

Turn the finished card into a real printed card with a handwritten note and have it mailed to their door.

Welcome group card questions

What do you write in a welcome card for a new employee?

Introduce yourself and your role, say you are glad they joined, and offer one practical tip or an invitation to lunch or coffee. Keep it light; the aim is to make them feel expected and wanted.

Can we send it before their first day?

Yes. Collect messages ahead of time and schedule the card to arrive on the morning they start, or send it early so they have something to look forward to.

How does a group card work on Because of You?

You pick a card, name the person it is for and get a link. Share the link with everyone who should sign. Each person adds a message, and can attach a photo, a short video or a drawing. When you are ready, you send the card and the recipient opens an animated reveal with every message inside.

Is it free to make a group card?

Yes. Creating a card, inviting people to sign it and sending the finished reveal are free. Optional extras, such as a printed card mailed to the recipient, are paid for only if you choose them.

Do the people signing need an account?

No. Anyone with the link can add their message from a phone or laptop in about a minute. Only the organizer needs an account, and that can be created at the end, right before sending.

Can people add photos and videos?

Yes. Every message can include photos, a short video clip or a freehand drawing. They play inside the card reveal and the recipient can open each one full screen.
